Default Pro tools 8 le

hi i am a noob, and i want to buy pro tools. but i do not have a 64 bit computer i have a 32 bit windows xp. so i want pro tools 8 le
can i use pro tools 8 le, not mbox or m powered with a presonus firestudio firewire control box?

Not going to work. Pro Tools 8 and older require a Digidesign/Avid interface(no M-Audio stuff). Pro Tools 9 can use almost any interface as long as it has core audio drivers(for Mac) or ASIO drivers (for PC). ASIO4ALL is a universal ASIO driver that works for many. No issues with a 32 bit Windows system(the OS determines whether the machine operate in 32 or 64 bit mode, but Pro Tools is a 32 bit app on either). Assuming you are running a PC, Pro Tools 9 requires Windows 7(32 or 64 bit) and PT9 is the only version of Pro Tools that will work with Presonus hardware.
