Cannot install Pro Tools 2020.3 (macOS)
- macOS Catalina 10.15.4
- 3.1 GHz Quad-Core i7 - 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 - iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2012) My OS is preventing me from installing Pro Tools 2020.3 from both the Avid website (My Account, My Products) or from the Avid Link (Products tab). After downloading and then trying to open the installer from the Avid website directly, an error message reads: “Pro_Tools_2020.3.0_Mac.dmg” is damaged and can’t be opened. You should move it to the Bin. The Avid Link installer makes better progress but ends with this error: "An error occurred during installation. The installation failed. The installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. I am currently paying for a one year subscription which is active, and my current version of Pro Tools is 2019.12 which runs fine. Is there a conflict with macOS and Pro Tools software or am I missing something here? Thanks for the read. |
