Default Man, have I been outta the loop..........

I just read the article from D. Lebolt....like the title of my post states....

So, and please spare the "kool-aid drinkers" remarks, when's the Apple logo due to appear on this website?? Or will this just wind up as a tab marker on Apple's website??

Wouldn't doubt it, and then it's going to be called Pro Logic or Logic Tools...lol
Final Cut is certainly starting (or has been) kicking AVID's arse in
the Video editing dept. Maybe not feature films, but certainly indie,
music vids, and corporate stuff.

Yeah, it is and I know, he says he left to have more "quality" time for family and personal endevors, etc........come on, if it was that easy to win the lottery!

Say what you want about personal opinions and theories, this definitely is a strong sign of big changes coming from both sides of the isle. I just believe, my own opinion, that the inevitable will happen here and that's probably a good thing.

Apple already has their own software and they have been pals with apogee for a while now.. Why would they want Digi/Avid? just for the video hardware?

I read that article too. Not once did I find any indications of Apple buying digidesign. Why would they. Unless, they plan to kill Logic. Its absurd at best.

Again, one man wont change a thing. Emagic, was many men. After selling out to Apple they became slaves. Slaves whose opinion did not matter anymore. Used to be a great and innovative software now it is a semi professional Jukebox. But maybe Lebolt can turn it into a full blown jukie and even ad an ethernet connector to it.

Looks like there's a chance for him to start something new with Apple that would not be possible at Avid. Maybe a killer iPhone app? Anythings possible! The power of your desktop will be in you hand in 10 years, so maybe this is the start of some forward thinking stuff. Good luck to him, he always seemed responsive to what people really needed.

I doubt that this will translate into much of anything of substance in regards to Protools or Logic.

Soundtrack Pro . . . now there's an application which could use some serious help dude.
