Default Best Way to bounce tracks with effects/plugins

Hey All,

Using PT 6.2. Running out of DSP and need to bounce effects/plugins to free up DSP. Whats the best way? Use the Bounce To Disc function under the File menu? Bus the track to another? Set output of one track as input to another? Using bounce to disc and bus method seems to raise the volume higher than the original.

Have tried seraching the DUC, but the search is not working it keeps returning all posts starting from most recent.

Thanks all

If your volume of the is set to unity 0 , your volume should reamin the same as you print it( bound to disk) make sure you assign all tracks and effects to bound and mute all other tracks. Also make sure you have removed any Master Output insets, as they will effect your bound level and sound. Check Import after bounce and you should be OK. Spot it and it should return to the original time stamp, if not uncheck auto spot regions and repeat the same.

also, if you bus to another audio track and print, you aren't really bouncing to disk and you will have a 10 ms offset to deal with, by nudging the track ahead 10 ms you will remain fase locked, I prefer to bounce , that way there is no timestanp difference.

That would be 10 samples not milliseconds.
