Default Quickpuhch/automatic punch out - Paper Reference Manual Available?

I'm sure this is covered somewhere in the Ref. Manual but can't find it.

I've figured out how to manually punch in and out
with Quickpunch.

I've figured out how to automatically punch in
at the beginning of a selection point.
However, I can't seem to find how to automatically punch
out at the end of the selection or some other marker point.
Can anyone tell me or point me to the applicable page
in the Reg. Manual for PT9?

Also, is there any way to buy a paper-based PT9 manual.
I don't want to print out 1000 pages and one would
be very helpful to me.

Thanks,

Jon

Can't help with quick punch but you can take the disk to Staples or Office Max and if they have the print shop (Copy Max), they can print it out for you. They charge by the page.

You can even email the document to them.

So long as you're not in destructive recording mode, the punch out isn't so important really. You can just edit the punch. Actually you can edit the punch in too, PT has a great feature where it kinda records in the background so if your punch time wasn't as accurate as you hoped, you can just slide the break point over to where it works best. Play around with it, you'll see what I mean.

I've done auto punch in/out before but for some reason I can't remember off the top of my head what to do and I'm not at the studio right now. It's fairly easy if I remember. Try just you tube. There's likely a tutorial for it!!!

For Auto-Punch, turn on the pre-roll feature and set it for 2 bars(or whatever you want), highlight the region you want to record, or just place the cursor where you want recording to start(if you want it to just continue till you hit STOP. And hit record. Search youtube for some tutorials on this or almost anything you want to learn as there's a good chance someone has posted instructions. Above all, remember your best friend......Ctrl=Z(when it all goes bad, UNDO)
