Recording from SC48 on new Macbooks without FW

Hi,

Unfortunately new Macbooks dont come with firewire, but have thunderbolt ports instead - referring to Airs and the new MBP Retinas.

Has anyone successfully done any recording on one of these using the Thunderbolt to Firewire adapter (PT9)?

I've got a MBP-R here at work. I'll order up one of those adapters and see if it works. Seems like it should...

That would be great.
I am in the market possibly for a new MBPR and this would be a huge plus.

I have two friends who reported me it works normally, with Apple's TB to FW adapter.
They used Venue FWX with a MacBook Air with PT10.

Good to know. I got the adapter a couple of weeks ago, I just hadn't had a chance to try it out yet.
