Default mbox in slow motion when 48 khz or up

Hello,
I am in a very frustrating situation because I can not work with my avid mbox3
if I open a session in 48 khz or up it sounds in slow motion, even if I start a new empty session with just the click track, it sounds slow.
I have tried with 3 Macs and one PC but nothing works.
Please somebody help me
