L2 - big difference!
I've done A/B test comparing L1 and L2 software. The difference in sound quality is huge. You get clean undistorted sound wih L2.It does not alter audio spectrum and you can drive it really loud.
With L1 it loses low end to me and adds harshness at mid frequencies. I only wish L2 price was lower.Paying 1000$ for a plug is a nigtmare.Isn't it? |

Re: L2 - big difference!
I can't wait to try it. I guess the question we have to ask ourselves is, "will it make our PT's mixes more competitive?", thereby earning us an extra thousand dollars, or so, to pay for it.
I'm always looking to get my rock and pop mixes as loud as the mastering guys get when I'm doing "demos" (of course nothing is a demo in my world...only the budget is). When I'm not doing "demos" then I leave it to the mastering gods. If this is another step on the ladder to achieve competitive loudness, clarity and punch on my "demo" work without spending $400 an hour, I will gladly be $1000 less rich this week.
