Default Can I edit midi notes in the Tracks window?

Hi,

Can I edit midi notes in the Tracks window.. without opening the Midi editor?

It seems individual notes can only be selected in the Midi Editor Window while sections can be selected in the tracks window..

Click the Track View Selector dropdown and choose Notes.

Pro Tools Expert shows how keyboard shortcuts can be used to change the tracks heights. The examples in the video are using Clips View, but they also work in Notes View.

Ah thats really good to know. I was tired of going back and forth between the Midi Editor and tracks window. Is there ever any reason to open the Midi Editor? Anything you can do there, you couldn't do on the tracks window?

It depends on how you like to work. For me, I almost never open the MIDI editor and do everything directly on the INSTRUMENT track in notes view. Remember that you can also add lanes so its easy to show notes, velocity, pitch bend, etc You can also enlarge the vertical size of notes(the button to the right of the button that enlarges the waveform).
