Default UAD-1 PCI and the new PCI Express - compatible?

So I'm thinking of upgrading to a new Intel Mac and was at one of our local stores tonight. The salesman mentioned that all the slots on the new Mac Pro are PCIe, and no PCI or PCIx slots. I know that PCIe is not backward compatible, and Apple did not put a single PCI or PCIx slot in the box.

My question is this, can I get my UAD-1 PCI card to work somehow on the new machine?

Any advice or help is appreciated.

Thanks
Jason

UAD PCI cards aren't compatible with the Mac Pro. There is only to ways: buy a UAD PCIe or get an expansion chassis (like Magma etc.) to connect several PCI devices to PCIe

Yeah, that's kind of what I'm finding. Don't really want to buy another card, but most of the expansion chassis I've seen are more than the card!!

Will have to think about it I guess, really sucks Apple didn't include at least one for backward compatibility.

Oh well, thanks
Jason
