Clicks and Pops
I have a new PT 10.1.2 installed on Win 7 64 bit prof. Everything seems to work fine, except when record is enabled, and prior to starting to record I get random snaps and pops spaced about 5 to 10 seconds apart. They show in the vu meter, and are disturbing. I thought it was static, but it happens when nothing is plugged into the Mbox 3 and also when a guitar is plugged in. And when no one is touching anything. No difference.
Cell phones off. No internet connected. No wireless LAN card installed. If I record, I don't hear any pops or snaps, and there are none on the recording, and none on playback. But while record enabled, it occurs. I have changed every setting in the playback engine and maybe it changed things a bit, but did not eliminate the problem. The clock is set to internal. System is optimized. Does anyone have any idea what to do about this ?? Many thanks for advice. JM. |
