Default have interface routed but there is a strange noise?!

Hi everyone,I am trying to get sound to come out of my studio monitors which are hooked up to my ua-25ex audio interface.Protools says I have it routed but when I turned the monitors on there is a wierd mechanical static sound(its not static per se but I have honestly never heard this noise before,I closed protools and opened another DAW I own and turned on the speakers and there was no noise.Can anyone help me?Ive been watching prorools videos on groove3 for hours and cant figure this out

does a music player come out the speakers if you try to play a music file without pro tools?
