Default Recover corrupted wav files from crashed session?

Had a very important live session that crashed one hour into recording. I'm now left with wav files that PT does not recognize as "valid". They are sitting there in the audio folder, but they cannot be imported into a new session. I've heard of data recovery programs that can resurrect wav files, and I have also heard from Digi that there is probably no audio on these files if the session crashed in mid record.

Has this happened to you?

Is there any data recovery progreams that might be able to make these wav files readable and importable?

Default Re: Recover corrupted wav files from crashed session?

I've had luck opening the file in Sound Hack (a shareware download). Fix the header and save a COPY. There have been some other threads about this with some other fixes also.
