Default OSX 10.3.9 crash

I posted a message a couple of days ago about my Protools system crashing, even sometimes on booting Protools. I was told OSX 10.3.9 is not approved yet for Protools HD3 6.9.1. We have two MAC 5's and have had no problems with what we call System A using 10.3.9 and 6.9.1. However, yesterday, I had iTunes unexepectedly quit, so it is not only Protools that I am having a problem with.

I do not have System B powered by a UPS filtered supply. Could this be the problem?

Extremely unlikely that the UPS is the issue, unless you have some seriously noisy power.

What are the other symptoms you're experiencing? Have you done all the suggestions in the General Troubleshooting thread?

There is a known issue with 10.3.9 due to the version of Quicktime 7 that it installs - it's not compatible with our Core Audio driver. Usually reverting back to Quicktime 6.5.2 will fix the problem.

Not only Protools crashes, now Safari "unexpectedly quits." Could it be the OSX?

Do you have another user account you can try these apps with? If they work in a different user account, then there is some corruption (or perhaps lack of permission) in the problematic user account.
