Bank HUI controller (FaderPort 8) to first track in PTU??
Hi, wasn't sure where to post this so mods, please feel free to move as needed.
I'm a big user of Keyboard Maestro and one of my uses for it was to Bank my FaderPort 8 to Track #1. In previous versions of Pro Tools, I would use a macro to launch the "Scroll to Track" command and just type in "1". In a recent version, the functionality was changed to track names only, so typing in "1" does not produce my desired result. Also, my left most track is my print track and is titled based on the name of the song. I am hoping to avoid changing this workflow. All of this is to say, does anyone know of an alternative way to bank a HUI controller to the left-most track, no matter where I am in the session? thanks b

Is there a reason you don't use the bank switches on the faderport?

Re: Bank HUI controller (FaderPort 8) to first track in PTU??
i use them all the time, but if i'm on track 100, it's a lot of button presses, incl possibly having to hit the bank button.
i'm looking for a "one-click" solution like i used to have.

Look up 'scroll to track' in manual - that should do it for you.

well of course that's the first thing i did. you're right that the manual talks about banking by track number, but it totally doesn't work on my system and hasn't for at least a couple of versions. I think they just forgot to remove those passages from the manual. any other ideas??

Re: Bank HUI controller (FaderPort 8) to first track in PTU??
Well....
I use 'scroll to track' and 'scroll to view' all the time with my Command | 8 controller. I guess the problem is perhaps the HUI mode ?? BTW, I highly recommend looking for a used Command | 8. In my region they sell on CL $300. Peace |
