Not possible. What's your reasoning for wanting to do that?

Other daws has the ability to copy paste parts, regions/clips between multiple open sessions and its great for some peoples workflow. Import sessions data or export clip groups is not nearly as neat.

It's a long requested feature.

But I think so long as HDX is around (fixed DSP and voices) you won't see it because there's simply no way to have two sessions trying to use the same DSP and I/O etc.

I suppose it's possible for Avid to make it a non DSP only feature but considering currently PT is all the same code, I wouldn't hold my breath.

With 12.5 and Cloud Collaboration it seems to be indispensable...
At least there should be the possibility of opening various Projects with the same session at the same time. If you are collaborating with more than one person we should be able to have different projects, based on the same session, working simultaneously.

As long as both sessions aren't playing at the same time the dsp usage wouldn't conflict. Digital Performer can't strictly have two projects (their term for our sessions) open at the same time but you can have multiple sequences open at the same time. Their sequences are a lot like our sessions in that each can have their own MIDI tracks, audio tracks and instrument tracks (DP uses the old school approach of separate tracks for MIDI and vi hosting; their instrument tracks only host a vi).

Great to hear!! I had no idea it was so easy. But then I'm not a programmer or have intimate knowledge about how HDX is coded etc.

Yeah but that's still one document open (project, session, whatever it's called). DP's unique chunks feature is indeed the closest we get to having multiple projects open at the same time, but it's still one document, and there's no way to cut/copy/paste either to the next open one. On a side note, DP's behemoth UI can be a real drag, to say it politely, with large sequences. Anyway, that's a debate for motunation not the duc
