Default Mulitple Installs ?

Is it possible to install PT9 on multiple machines using same Ilok

I dont want to have to purchase serveral licenses.

With my Mbox i would install on all my 3 computers and just move the mbox around to each machine.

Will this still be possible except with Ilok ?

is it only one ilok license you get or 2 authorizations ?

Say i could leave one ilok on main machine ..

And take one with me for laptop ?

Or would i have to buy 2 copies of PT9 for that ?

My understanding is that you'll get one iLok asset, so you'd have to take the ilok and move it to your laptop. Now, in the past, Digi has usually given two ilok licenses, one as a backup. Not sure with PT9 if this is still the case, I suppose maybe you could use that on a second iLok and it might do what you want.

Assuming they're still giving a backup license.

you don't need to - it's one iLok asset. Consider that confirmed.

There's no longer a backup asset, apparently due to some abusing it. Why someone with a 10k rig needs to dodge a £200 upgrade charge is beyond me, but there you go.
