Default iLok Manager

Anyone get this to work yet? I have read the latest instructions, but to no use. I keep getting a "Session is no longer valid", for the hell of it, I clicked on the "Create a New Account" and a "Safari can't connect to the server" message appeared. I've exhausted my day's quota for the " key. What a misbegotten piece of software!

Its working on my system (Windows 8)

The only problems I have had (so far) is not being able to log in, or getting kicked out a few seconds after logging in. It has performed well for me today though. I was able to move licenses from one iLok to another with just a drag and drop and add a new license.


I don't know what else to say other than, iLok knows there are issues and they are working to correct them.... I know that's no help to you though, sorry.

Same Story here !!!!!!

Solved the problem by deleting all old Pace Files and Folders -after that it recognised my Ilok and syncd all licences. Maybe this is obvious to computer experts but as working musician I had to do it by trial-and-error.

They should really include this information when releasing such a software

Its been working fine here. (Knock on wood)

I suspect that uninstalling any previous versions of iLok and its associated drivers may be one of the secrets. Along with rebooting.

OK, I got it working and thank you, but first, uninstalling doesn't clear out the iLok manager folder in Libarary>Application Support, you have to manually drag that out to the trash, at least in my case.

My ilok account is still dead. Perhaps todays fixes will be the ones.

just jumping in the discussion here.....

I have licenses for pro tools 9HD & 10HD (from upgrading). Is it possible to transfer my 9hd license to my other ilok (in my own account) to use on two computers I have?

I tried just now and it didn't copy over....can't tell if its the ilok server problems or just outright not allowed to split the two up (even though on the same account).

ilok lists my 2 group licenses as:


Pro Tools HD 9 (locked group)
Pro Tools HD 9
Pro Tools HD 8
Pro Tools 9

Pro Tools HD 10 (locked group)
Pro Tools HD 9
Pro Tools HD 10
Pro Tools 9
Pro Tools 10


I tried to copy the HD9 locked group to a second ilok key and nothing happened. It says it was transferring but never gave me an error or actually moved the license.

You should be able to move the bundles separately. I would go through the current steps listed at the iLok site to sync/ repair your iLoks I would then move the 9 bundle to your account, swap iLoks, sync/repair, and move bundle to new iLok.
