S6 Knob Module stiffness compared to S3?

I was using an S3 yesterday and I feel like the encoder knobs are far too stiff and difficult to turn.

I'm wondering if the S6 is similar to the S3 in that regard or is it easier?

I was definitely hoping for something different.

It seems like doing subtle changes requires too much force.

Completely different. Significantly less resistance on S6 than on S3.

I plan to demo an S6 at a studio soon and spend a couple hours going through your (amazing) Operation Guide with it and see how it feels.
