ADAT sync

I haven't purchased my LE yet. (my new Macs on the way! [img]images/icons/cool.gif[/img]
I have some overdubs I want to do that are on ADAT, and I need to send someone that ADAT back. I imagine that the tracks need to be on the same spot when I dump it back-so it all syncs on there end.
How do I sync my adat to and fro from LE? What gear do I need?

you need a JL Cooper datasync 2 there was one on here for 150 bucks awhile back. what they do is convert the sony 9 pin sync from the adat to MTC then you just specify in PT that you want to use MTC from the datasync via OMS as the sync source or something like that. It is fairly accurate freewheel sync that is good for about 3-5 minutes then it may drift if you dont resolve to a clock which in your case should be the adat clock. I havent tried it yet but I imagine you should be able to resolve to the adat clock if you use the datasync as the trigger. Just get the datasync that's all you need and BTW it supports MMC so you can control your adat from PT's as I do.

Very mixed reviews of good ADAT sync.
Its not sample acurate EVER. Sometimes its "close enough"
