Compatability and upgrading for OSX 10.4 (Tiger)

So i bought an mbox that came with v 6.4 of protools which wasnt compatible with my osx 10.4 so i bought an upgrade to 6.9 which much to my disliking was also not compatable, but the 6.9.2 version IS compatable with my ibook g4 osx 10.4...but you need version 6.7 or higher installed already to upgrade to 6.9.2 but 6.9 isnt compatable so i can't install it? i need help because im sick of buying things from ebay only to find out they dont work--thanks in advance for help

if you just bought it new you should not have payed for an upgrade.

You can install 6.9, just don't try to launch PT once installed as it will probably crash. Once 6.9 is installed, install the 6.9.2 update before you do anything with PT and you should be fine.

I bought the Mbox used from ebay, thats why i had to pay for the upgrade, when i open the 6.9 disc there is no "install protools" icon or anything...so how do i install it?

When you bought the Mbox, did you get the transfer of ownership form to go with it from the original buyer? You need that to be eligable for upgrades etc.

Where did you get the 6.9 disc? If it's a factory Digi disk for Mac, it definitely has an installer on it that would say something like "Install ProTools LE".
