Default ping pong noise

Hello everybody,

I was helping a friend with a show he's doing for the internet and at some point of an interview, some guys start playing ping pong just next to us. I tried everything to remove the noise (equing, editing each ball noise but sometimes it overlaps with the dialog, and trying to set the waves x noise to get rid of it) but without success (or by reducing the noise I also change the tone of the dialog, in the hi freq). Does anybody been confronted to that kind of problem and could give some advice (plug ins, tips) ?

Thanks

ps : there's ping pong ball noise, guys shouting, and kicking the ping pong table...grrr)

mr. shower,

you have funny problem.

maybe you could nmake it seem like the conversation is taking place while walking down a reverberant hallway in high heels?

eeeee......try the de-klick in the waves package (is there one, there is in other packages...)

any creative ways to mask it? ...can you introduce some other element?

anyway to re-record in a less boingy place?

hi

well I also tried that one, x click but not successful. At some point of the interview the director wanted music in background of the interview, but the guys already had started playing since 3 or 4 minutes so...I think next time I'll fix the problem before post production (which means kicking the guys out) !

Thanks anyway for your advice.

ps : and the name for shower in french is not "duche" but "douche" ! ;-)

oui, je sais le mot.

in german it is 'dusche'.

from the Latin roots of 'duco' which means to lead, draw. infinitive is ducere. 'ductio' is a means of conveying water. ...so you can see how we get these many variances..

i think there is a Birtish expression where it means 'a rude awakening'.
