Default Liars

Dear Avid, why have have you lied by claiming that your fast track c400 is compatible with USB 3.0?

I have just wasted £400 on you c400 protools mp bundle. It does not work with USB 3.0.

What a useless company. By the way, Focusrite released a driver ages ago to make their audio drivers USB 3.0 compatible

Well done con merchants

Maybe the trouble is the USB3 driver in your computer. Check the mobo manufacturer's website to see if there is an updated driver(as there was for mine). Do you have a USB2 port you can try to verify that your computer is compatible?

Thanks for the replies. I'm using a new macbook Pro, it only has USB 3.0 ports and you can't use a hub with Protools MP. I have the latest drivers. Sending the whole thing back to the supplier as I phoned Avid UK and they said they have no plans to release a driver and protools MP is old and they don't support it. Anyone thinking of buying this bundle. don't do it!
The software is tied to the interface so you cant use it with a different one, it's completely useless.

Thanks again folks

You can still use your C400, as the latest drivers should be supported with USB 3.0. Pro Tools MP 9.0.5, however, is not supported beyond Mac OS X 10.6.8 and was only available as BETA software on Mac OS 10.7.

In order to use the software with your new MacBook Pro and OS X Mountain Lion, you'll need to purchase the MP to Pro Tools 10 cross grade.
