No, that's not the idea. We could add a 2018 thread/category to each platform; the way it has been, with each new version.

OH?
I don't recall separate subforum per operating system when PT12 dropped.

Maybe, that's when the "chaos" started.

Hmm. My memory (as faulty at that may be) seems to recall that there was always a separate Windows and Mac forum on it's own while each version has a combined platform forum (i.e. Protools 10, Protools 11, Protools 12). I don't have a preference either way. I tend to look at both the Mac specific forum and the latest Protools forum to see where I can help out, knowing that the Protools forum is combined.

I'd much rather have more people see every problem than having somebody assuming their problem is mac or pc specific.

Thanks for discussing this. We've had Pro Tools v# forums for several years, as well as PT Mac and PT Win forums. I think most topics are not platform specific so (should?) land in the main PT forum, and the Mac and Win forums are for OS specific issues. Users approach these differently though, like always posting to PT Mac if you don't use Windows, even if it's not specific to macOS. As a user myself, I'd prefer a platform-agnostic forum by main version for most PT issues, and then macOS and Windows forums for OS specific discussion. But... it's your community.
