S3 not working in Sierra

I just did a clean install of OS X 10.12.1 on a fresh drive, used migration assistant to copy user data and my S3 will not work properly.
I keep getting the error " The network address of this unit appears to be set incorrectly".
I can boot up my Mac on my old system HD 10.9.5 and the S3 works fine. Not changing anything else.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled the EuControl software several times, still no luck.

Any ideas?

Not particularly helpful, but mine is working great with OSX 10.12.1 and PTHD 12.6.1

Did you also migrate your network and other user settings from an older OS?

Yes, I just upgraded from Mavericks....to Yosemite...ElCap, then Sierra.
I've never done the clean install and re-install everything path. Takes too long and I've never had any issues. (just always Carbon Copy Cloned prior, so I have a safety net of sorts).

I just use the second ethernet port on my MacPro for the S3 an Transport (through a cheap gigabit switch as I don't use the AVB). Using DHCP and it just works.

I was told not to connect the S3 directly to the Mac Pro (unless using a coupler/crossover) so I have my S3 connected to an ethernet hub. Works fine that way in Mavericks and 12.5.2. Bet then I boot up in Sierra and I get the IP error. I'm also using DHCP.

Before I got the Transport I had my S3 connected directly ( didn't require a crossover cable). Worked just fine.

Ok, thanks for the info Matt. I just ordered a crossover coupler and will try that, just in case, on Thursday when it arrives.
Seems like a software issue but I just don't know what it might be.

Have you updated Eucon and the firmware in the S3?

Yes I did both and even reinstalled software. Restart. Etc.
