On Windows, use your onboard audio for anything besides PT and use your audio interface only for PT. If you've disabled the onboard audio in BIOS, at least for me, Windows will try to default to your audio interface. Also, if your video card has HDMI capability, then it also has audio capability so disable the HDMI. I have an RME UFX. Every time I update it's drivers, it becomes the default for Windows sounds/audio and I have to go into Sounds and change that. As always, YMMV.
To the OP, run LatencyMon to see what might be causing any interrupts.
