Default DIGI 002R no longer recognised after PT9 upgrade

Hello,

I upgraded to PT9 last week...first updating the drivers from the installation disc, then the new software...which when launched it prompted to download and install the v9.06 upgrade - which i dutifully did!

Everything has been working fine for 5 days, but last night i opened a session and it started playing back though my Mac speakers, and when i looked under 'hardware' there was no option for the 002.

I'm pretty sure the 002 is fine as the 1394 green light is always on, and the device is recognised when i look under firewire devices connected to my iMac...also the 002R works as normal when i connect to my old, old iMac which is running PTLE7.4. So, i suspect a driver issue here?

I installed the latest driver from the Avid site, but this only had the effect of me not being able to open Pro Tools at all - so i reinstalled the 9.06 update, and am back to the original problem of PT launching fine, but only playing through the internal speakers.

Any suggestions gratefully received!

Thanks in advance, Phil
