Boot drive clone to take your PT to other studios
I've searched this forum for this info, but couldn't find it:
I'd like to create a clone of my OSX boot drive to use when I'm working in different studios. The purpose is to always use my version of PT, my plug-ins, my pref's, etc., even when working on other computers. Can anyone recommend a good way to do this? Thanks so much!! PS. I'm using PT 8, OS X 10.5.8, Mac Pro Dual-Core Intel Xeon |

Carbon Copy Cloner is another program that works well.

+1, It's free and works as needed. I have used it for this purpose.

I've used both and prefer SuperDuper!'s interface, but as stated both will work just fine. I use SuperDuper! all the time, love it.

Thanks for the replies!
Has anyone had any luck (good, bad, or otherwise) doing what I'm proposing: using a clone of a boot drive on a FW800 drive to drive Pro Tools 8 on different computers? Thanks so much!! PS. Again, I'm using PT 8, OS X 10.5.8, Mac Pro Dual-Core Intel Xeon |

Re: Boot drive clone to take your PT to other studios
Won't this cause hardware driver issues?
Also ssuming both Macs are exactly the same, any software that uses a serial number for authorisation will freak out out when it sees different hardware IDs (Mac addresses on network adapters etc)?
