Default Memory Locations/Markers

Can we edit/rename memory locations/marjers "on the fly"?

I'm listening to a project and I press "Enter" to insert a marker at 23|1|00 and I "miss" by about two beats. Can I "double click" or something on the marker and change its properties, in terms of Name, location, etc.?

Even in the Memory alocations dialogue, I only see the beat number if I do it with the project stopped, and time properties set to "None".

Because I don't know how to do it, it's a workflow issue right now.

.... and yes, I RTFMed.

You can drag the markers to the desired locations.

.... but only when the track has stopped. I want to be able to, in the page with the list of markers, double-click or right click on a marker and change its properties.

Can that be done? MAybe 8.01, or CS 1 ....

Work flow, work flow, ....

You can drag the memory locations while you're playing back, just left click and drag them in the "markers" toolbar at the top. Also, if you have "auto-name memory locations" unchecked in preferences, you can name them as you go along all without stopping playback.

Yeah, got that. Thanx! That takes care of the name, but what about bar|beat|tick? Can we do that?

Well, if you're in grid mode, you can simply slide the marker over manually while playing back.

OR, enter spot mode (I think this is the answer you're looking for) and click on the marker to enter it manually. It will move without stopping playback.

Still can't type in the Bar|Beat| value.

Thanx anyway.

Sure you can! Just make sure "Time Scale:" is set to "Bars:Beats!"

Enter spot mode and click on the marker <<in the marker section of the transport bar (the actual marker)>> to enter it manually. It will move without stopping playback.
