Side chain delay compensation

I fear that folks are giving up on this.
There are more and more plugs that rely on reliable side chain interaction. Let’s keep pushing for this basic feature please.

Yup. 7 years now of support promising me that this was being ported to HD native.
I know that folks say things like this a lot but this is a dead BASIC feature.
It's just crazy that it's available for HDX only.

I kind of agree. There's not a single reason that comes to my mind why this couldn't be done on native mixer. Just currently it is DSP-only.

And, if I may add, it's not even perfect on HDX!

Also agree. Pretty much unusable in its current state without resorting to freezing plugins with higher latency values.

I think that we need to keep the pressure on folks.

In my conversations with Avid support, I have gotten the impression that they see this as a small issue that only a few users are concerned with. It doesn't have marketing pizazz and it's the kind of thing that gets pushed to the bottom of the list.
Let's all keep pushing for this.

I use sidechain compressors for bass/808 kick etc... it seems perfect for this.

In what way is the side chain not working properly in hdx? Only on certain plugins? Or at a certain latency level?

Only works with DSP inserts, an exceedingly narrow subset of available plugins.
