With little hacking you can get El Capitan installed which would bring you up to PT 2018.12 supported and with luck 2019.x working

Cannot believe I am recommeding El Crap install, but hey

Thanks for the links. Interesting, and I may get into that at some point, but I've already got PT2019 running, and for now I'm just trying to decide whether or not to partition the cheesgrater drive and maybe get PT10 going alongside PT7.3 or 7.4. Its looking like it may be hard to find a full install for Lion [OS10.7], though. You know about anything like that?

Best,

mightyduck

If you cannot get it from Mac App Store, try here.

Yup. They're safe, right? I got a .dmg file. Just transfer it to that computer / drive, and run it on the second partition, right?

So I can't figure out how to install the Lion OS on my second partition. It is a .dmg file. I tried transferring it to the drive and just double clicking it, hoping that would work. But it says it "can't be run on this operating system", or something to that effect.

I am running 10.3.9 Tiger on the other boot drive partition.

Anybody know how to do this? I have always used installers from CD / DVDs or updated over the net.

I also have horrible internet service where I am and, apparently, no Airport card in the computer. Haven't been able to get the computer connected to internet yet, and at this point I'm not sure what is backed up on the other drives and what is not.

Anyone?

Best,

mightyduck

Create a bootable USB installer stick. Instructions here.

Hi,

Problem seems to be that you need a computer running OSX 10.6.8 in order to run the Lion installer.

BTW, are you pretty sure the .dmg from that site is cool? I found a page on Apple's site where you can buy a download. But it specifies OSX 10.6.6-8 Snow Leopard, preferably 10.6.8] as requirements. The instructions in your link above also call for 10.6.8.

What I have available is the Cheesegrater itself, running 10.4.9 on the first boot partition [second one blank so far], or my MacBook Pro, running 10.14.6.

Any ideas?

Any ideas? Do I have to somehow install Snow Leopard first? And
