Exchange to HD Native Card ... valid for Accel trade ins now?

So I'm seeing that the exchange for legacy TDM systems to the HD Native card is still going on, and it's only a little more expensive than buying PT 10 HD software outright for a PT 8 user.

The exchange says it's for older TDM cards than the PCIe Accel cards ... can I now trade in my cards for a native system? You'd think it'd be allowed, the newer PCIe card should be worth more than the legacy ones. Does anyone happen to know about this? Thanks for the help!

Well technically speaking, HD Accel is a Legacy system now Seriously.... If you are on HD Accel, the point is to move to the HD Native or HDX both with your DSP cards and your I/O interfaces.

By the way, the only requirement for the trade in is just your Core card. You don't need to trade in your other cards. You can sell them on ebay, etc.

Don't give away more than you have to!

That's how it worked out for me. Now, I have 2 Accel PCIe cards that I can sell.

I am hesitant to give up the Core card and the "ownership". I am thinking of just keeping the TDM as a second system and just buying a Native card which of course comes with 10.

I have a band tracking date this Tuesday and am trying to get my dealer to let me demo a Native card to see how it goes.

Let us know how that goes, tracking with a full band.

Also, if you're thinking you might keep that system and purchase an HD Native outright, there is a special going on right now if you get it bundled with either the Omni or HD 8 x 8. It's $1500 off each bundle.

So, for example, the Omni and HD Native card is $4495, only $1000 more than the card by itself. And the HD 8 x 8 and Native card is $5495, only $2000 more than the card by itself. There is no special for the 16 x 16 bundle.

If for some reason you didn't want the interfaces, you could sell them and still come out ahead.
