Impressive. What HW buffer do you have to run to achieve that HDn performance? (I'm still looking for benchmarks)

apples n apples;
the home rig is only for editing/mixing,
so typically running @ 1024.
taking the sesh to the studio
i'll change it from the lower tracking buffer
up to match what i used at home,
unless there are adc issues
(which favors the home rig due the tdm/rtas chain drama)

No. TDM Needs TDM cards. HDX will run AAX DSP, and AAX Native and RTAS on the host.

TDM is compiled for the Motorola 56k family of DSP chips
AAX SDP is compiled for the Texas Instruments TI1 family of DSP chips

there about as compatible as gas/petrol vs. diesel fuels are in internal combustion engines (there not compatible)
