Assertion error-session failure

Cannot load or rebuild manually a mix session for client this morning due to Assertion error. Submitted case to Avid.

Assertion errorCould not complete your request because Assertion in "/Volumes/Development/protools/release/2020/r3/ProTools/DirectIO/Source/CCoreAudioUtils.cpp", line 78

Not much info to go on
Can you open any other sessions?
Have you tried holding the SHIFT key to make all plugins inactive?
Can you create a blank session? If so, can you select your interface in the Setup>Hardware window?

Here's something worth trying:
Create a new blank session at a different sample rate(if original was at 96k, make the new session at 88.1, etc). Then try importing a few tracks at a time and select to SRC on the way in. My theory is that some minor file corruption gets "smoothed over" by the Sample Rate Conversion(it worked for me 2 times anyway). In any case, importing a few tracks at a time might reveal that its only 1 or a handful of tracks to blame.
