Default Protools Control w/ Eucontrol connection ?

Hi everyone,

I'm new at this, and am trying to connect between the Eucontrol app and PT on my Ipad Air. (PT12, Yosemite)

Since I don't have Wifi at my home, do I need a router, and if so, could someone give me the name of a good router to get that would work between my Ipad air and the Eucontrol?

be aware that it works best if your Wi-Fi network runs at 5ghz .. (not 2.4ghz) .. mine does not do well at 2.4ghz ..

i use an Apple Extreme Wireless Router .. it was given to me by a friend ..

any wireless router will do ..

there is suppose to be a way to Hard Wire your iPad to the computer .. Lighting to USB then USB to ethernet .. i do not have a USB to ethernet so i cannot test ..

cheers john

How do you run a Wi-fi router if you don't have wi-fi at home?
I thought you need internet to run a wi-fi system for Eucon.

Thanks. I'd sure like to know how to hardwire that. Can a router act as a Ethernet hub too?

thanks John, South, and Wiz, Here's one I found which isn't too expensive and shows 5ghz: Apple MD031LL/A AirPort Extreme. You guys think this would do the job?
