Default Session Backups to DVD

I'm having trouble getting my PC to recognize a blank DVD for session data and audio file backup.
I tried to keep my OS drive disk uncluttered by opting to not install various programs common to Windows XP Pro, so I may need to install a DVD burning program. Can anyone suggest one for this purpose that won't use much disk space or CPU power? Also, what is the best procedure to accomplish this task most efficiently? I will be using these DVDs to send to other PT users for collaborations.
Thanks, T.

Unlike a MAC, PC's don't have a built-in software utility for backup. I personally use ROXIO for this. All you have to do is launch the program, choose DATA disc, and drag the folder into the project and hit burn. Done. Also, if you launch Creator Classic, you can distribute insanely large sessions across multiple discs.

The free version of Deepburner 1.8 will do the job nicely. You can find it here. There's even a portable version you can launch from a flash drive that won't use any disk space at all.

Your DVD burner should have some burning software bundled with it. I am using Nero and suggest using the verify-after-burn feature.
