Best way to find plugin that’s causing issues
Hi fellow TDM users, just wondered what’s the best way to find the plugin that is causing your sessions to crash/glitch.
I know we have the used and unused plugin folder but we have both TDM and AAX in PT10HD to deal with I lots of plugins and going one at a time would take ages. What practises are people doing? Moving all AAX to unused then concentrate on the TDM ones etc Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Re: Best way to find plugin that’s causing issues
My method:
1-Pick a session that crashes a lot and hold the SHIFT key while you open that session(all plugins will be inactive) 2-Using the modifier key, make a row of inserts active(start with slot A) and see if the session crashes. If it DOES, you narrowed it down to something in row A. If it doesn't crash, make the next row active and retest. 3-once you pin it down to something in a row, make that row inactive and then enable only stock plugins in that row(odds are that it will be a 3rd party plugin to blame) 4-make active the 3rd party plugins in that row, one at a time and hopefully, you will be able to nail the bugger The next method is more work: 1-drag all 3rd party plugins out of the plugins folder(you can move them to a folder on the desktop as a handy place) 2-run a session that gives you fits and see if removing plugins helped. 3-start dragging small batches of plugins back into the Plugins folder until you figure out which is the bogus one(much more tedious than the first method)

Re: Best way to find plugin that’s causing issues
I would go with putting ALL plugins in the unused folder as PT can and do crash even if a certain problem plugin is Not in the session. Plugins can crash PT by just sitting in the plugin folder so put all of them in unused folder and then put back like 3-5 of them at a time until you find the problem plugin.
