Fujitsu Notebooks Compatiblity
Hi.
I am planning to purchase a Fujitsu Lifebook S6210 or S7010 (Dothan or Centrino) will this work well with PT? anybody using those notebooks? any problems? and are those Dothan chips working well with PT? I have searched DUC... didn't find anything about those notebooks. Im going to hook it up to MBOX.. hope it'll work well. Please help! Thanks! |

Re: Fujitsu Notebooks Compatiblity
I have a Lifebook 6120, and have done every conceivable tweak and performance enhancement to it including 1gig RAM, external drive, the lot. PTLE will not succesfully run on it.
My diagnosis is the BIOS which will not allow me to change IRQ settings. The BIOS in mine has about 5 things sharing IRQ 11, including graphics, firewire, USB etc etc. Fujitsu Japan basically blamed PT for the performance problems (error 9029 & 9129 cosistently) and would not provide me with a solution. My advice is - go with a different laptop - or get a desktop and save yourself the heartache!
