profire 2626
Hi, I'm trying to mute the signal going to the monitors whilst recording with no success....surely it can't be too difficult.

You should be able to click the Mute button for that channel on the Pro Tools software Mixer. Show levels Pre-Fader. Make sure you have selected the desired Input Monitor mode in the software, as well.

Go into the Profire control panel and check to see if you have the outputs set as software returns or analog in's. Set on software returns PT will mute the signal, as analog in's the signal goes straight through and muting in PT will have no effect. Seen here
