Re: pro fire 2626
Newbie myself, but here's a couple of checkpoints -
1. Check the Output settings in your Mix window (e.g. it should be OUT 1-2 if you are monitoring via a your stereo outs). Make sure you are not outputting to a Bus 1-2 or somesuch. 2. Check the input settings (should be your guitar input that you are plugged into on the pro fire, also as named in Setup -> Peripherals/I/O...) 3. Do you get the same clean guitar without firing up Pro Tools? Trying to see if your interface is not correctly routed/setup in PT for some reason. 4. Are you using an Audio track or Aux or something else?

Re: pro fire 2626
In the "Router" section of the 2626 control panel, if you have Analog Out 1/2 set to Mixer Out, you'll hear the output of Pro Tools and ANY of your inputs into the 2626. Which means if you have a mic or guitar, you're going to hear double of it (with zero latency) unless you mute that channel in Mixer (like you've already discovered) or you can change Analog Out 1/2 to be Software Returns 1/2. This will give you consistent monitoring without having to change any settings, however, you won't get zero latency monitoring.

Re: pro fire 2626
Hi, I've recently purchased the profire 2626 to go with my newly installed m-powered pro tools. I upgraded to 7.4 and then read that I needed 7.4cs7 to work accordingly with the 2626. I believe i did this? however, when I power it up it only reads 7.4. Should it read 7.4cs7? I started with 7.0 then 7.3 then 7.4 then 7.4cs7. Do I need to uninstall any of these?
The problem is when booting up it either says it can't detect my interface to check to see if it's plugged in or turned on OR it says my ilok authorization number can't be found.? Again, I believe I have down loaded the appropriate drivers, upgrades and authorizations to be up and running. I also feel like I've been doing circles and at this point I'm completely confused. Was on hold for Digi for 30min. and never got through. Can anyone help? thanks alot! -seth |

1. Create and Aux Input 2. create a new Audio Track 3. Set the input of the "Aux Input" to the corresponding input on the 2626. 4. Set the output of "Aux Input" to Bus 1 5. Set the input of your new "Audio Track" to "Bus 1". 6. Set the output of "Audio Track" to whatever your master out is probably 1-2. 7. Place your "crunch" plug-in on the "Aux Input". I see you already muted channel 1. You really shouldnt have to do that...Not sure why in this case. My Profire is set up the same way. |

Are you able to get the M-Audio mixer software to load?? I believe there is a new version of the Ilok software. I had to update mine last week to transfer a licsense. Try re-installing the latest M-audio drivers as well...this fixed a few issues I was having initially. |

Re: pro fire 2626
Have you tried reinstalling the 2626 drivers? Actually you should do an uninstall, then reinstall.
Did you previously have any other M-Audio hardware drivers installed on this machine? If so, you should uninstall those as well, before installing the 2626 driver. When you're being asked about the iLok - what does the message say, exactly? See the Help Us Help You thread for more info on what we need to know to help you properly. |
