Mackie Human Interface (HUI) Set-up problems

We have an IBM Intellistation M Pro, 500MHZ processor, NT 4.0 and all the required hardware. We are running Pro Tools 24 MIX 5.0. The Pro Tools software works great with the mouse. We purchased a Mackie HUI to use in conjunction with Pro Tools. The Mackie is connected to a midiman 4X4/s ISA interface board. Our Mackie (HUI) keeps losing communications with the computer. We replaced the midiman 4X4/s card, reloaded the software, replaced the midi cables, changed ports but still havn't figured out what's wrong. Can anyone help us? Does anyone have a list of settings for the winman midiman 4X4/s?

I saw a post here a while back concerning the Midiman 4x4/s. Apparently some boards required a chip upgrade on faster cpu's.

Thank you Wolftone, Midiman sent me the three chips and I installed them. The Mackie HUI has been running flawless for the past four hours.
If anyone plans on making a Mackie HUI part of their Windows NT Pro Tools 5.0 system you must have your midiman winman 4X4/s up-graded or it will not work. The chips are free! Call Midiman @ 626-445-2842 or E mail them at [email protected]
