Pops 128

i'm running a highly audio tweaked athlon 64 3400 with the audiophile 24/96... i get pops with m-powered with the buffers set to 128.. 128 working fine with ASIO apps like ableton.. but i cant run protools at 128. i want to run ableton / virtual instruments with the lowest latency i can... anyone now a fix?
