Importing from other sessions
If there are any ProTools/AVID R&D people lurking, here's a request I'm sure most Post-production users have long dreamed of. What about the capability of opening another session within your current session so you can lasso a group of clips from the source session and drag/drop/spot them into the current session. With the ability to preview the source. Like Fairlight had 20 years ago. And I'm pretty sure AVID Media Composer has now. Just a thought, but it is 2015.

Quote:
MC and AudioVision have always had that. It's called sequence and bin handling and absolutely essential when editing films. It's been the #9 top request on idea scale for 5 years and has been wished for at least for more than a decade by post people. http://protools.ideascale.com/a/dtd/...ime/13061-3779 I wouldn't hold my breath for it. The "we're emulating a tape machine and a traditional console"-concept is so deep in PT's genes it's probably as hard to implement as bins in the clip-list.
