Question Installation Problems, "could not write the receipt"

Hi there

First of all: Sorry for my english, it's not the best one...

Some days ago, i bought a Mbox Micro, and there was still PT LE 7.4.2 included. I installed it (Mac OS X 10.5.6, MBP Alu), and the installer told me several times "Installation failed, could not write the receipt for ... Plugins". I tried to install all the components separately, and that worked.

Today i registered my purchase and could download Version 8 for free, so i did that. Now, when I'm trying to install it, the installer tells me again, that a failure occured (could not write the receipt for Plug-In Updates). But now, this happens also when I install only the Application files.

Does somebody know a solution for this problem?

Are you installing from an Admin account? If not, that could be the problem.

You might also check the permissions on your Receipts folder located at MacHD>Library>Receipts - it should have Read & Write access for System and Admin and Read Only status for 'everyone'.

Hi

I just tried again, and it worked... Strange!
Is it possible that there are problems if the installer file is still in the "Downloads" Folder? I copied on my desktop before.
