Default PT10 with the new 2013 Mac Pros?

Throw "officially supported" out of the discussion - I know it's not supported and won't be because Avid is pushing customers into PT11 - but are people getting PT10 up and running with the new MacPros?

I don't have one, but I do know few things

- TDM cards won't work via TB boxes so it's HDX/HDN
- PT10HD works very well with Mavericks, except uninstaller
- I've heard success stories with nMP without TDM legacy

Seems that Avid won't write drivers for TDM cards for use in external chassis. Forcing customers to HDX. That's so unlike Avid to be greedy.

"Success without TDM" meaning that latency is low and horsepower is great enough to make TDM unnecessary? I'd be ok ditching TDM if latency can remain low enough with small buffer settings.

Would be great to have more details... the new boxes are super sweet for a home studio with no barrier between the box (well cylinder) and the monitors. The thing is so quiet I cant even hear it when I put my ear over it... not to mention it is a super fast bad ass machine on top of it. Would LOVE to have a PT10 rig on it till they fix all the issues with 11.

The answer is yes. The PT 10.3.8 installer worked fine.
