Default Pro Tools having trouble with Audiobox

I purchased a PreSonus Audiobox USB interface a couple days ago to replace the defective Mbox I was using since I got Pro Tools 9 (and have since upgraded to 11). I downloaded the current driver for it and attempted to use it with Pro Tools. On the first session it worked fine, but when I opened another session I got the error "Pro Tools could not initialize the Audiobox ASIO driver. Please ensure it is configured correctly." And that's when it started getting worse. The software became unresponsive and I've had to force quit the program every time it failed to communicate with my interface. I thought the problem might be that I needed to update Pro Tools, so I installed 11.3.1 and tried again. This time however, it failed to initialize the Audiobox every time, loaded incredibly slow, and I had no choice but to force quit.

I tried trashing my preferences, but that didn't work either. Also made sure it wasn't my processor being bogged down by junk data.

I ultimately reinstalled 11.2.0 which I was using before. I successfully was able to play back two sessions before I encountered the initializing error again. Since I'm now out of options for resolving this issue myself, I thought I'd post here. I'm on a Windows 7 machine so I'll include a Sandra report:

Hi, One thing you might try is switching USB ports on your computer. I've fixed USB issues in the past by rearranging the ports my USB devices were using. Not sure why, but sometimes it works.
