Default Normalizing batches of clips??

Halfway through a massive job of trimming four days worth of dialogue records into thousands of soundbites, the client decides to tell me they want eachone normalizing.

Is there an easy way to batch process these files rather than do each one individually? And can it be done without renaming the files?

If not in PT, any other way to achieve this?

thanks
Adam

Sounds like a job for Keyboard Maestro

Izotope RX5 has a leveler module that does just that. And the standalone application has a batch processor. Works really well and fast. You can choose the location and the naming convention, too.

Keyboard Maestro would kill it! Set it up to: normalise, rename, then move to the next clip and repeat, then when it gets to the end tell it to cancel operation after 3 failed requests. Then just hit one key and watch it process the batch.

RX is a great app and plug, but the Leveler is not a simple normalization. It is compression and gain make-up, applied dynamically. The results can be vastly different than just normalization.

Sound Grinder is a very handy little app for doing this on the root/file level, with many naming/file structure choices-
