Default Impossible to find software downloads on Avid site

Avid / Digi make it almost impossible to find a download of Pro Tools HD software?

Since the software can't run without an iLok, why make it hard to find software downloads?

I have missing install discs for 7.4.2 for Mac 10.5 and can't seem to find a legal download of it anywhere on this site. Google can't find it. I've poked around under "support" under "my digi" and all the "product" links to no avail.

Shouldn't it be easy to locate the program that you need in order to run the hardware that you paid for?

Or if I'm missing something obvious, could somebody point me in the direction of a legal download of 7.4.2 for Mac 10.5?

Thanks

Try this:
  1. Go to avid.com/kbase
  2. Change "All My Types of Documents" to "Downloads"
  3. Type "pro tools 7.4.2" (without the quotes) in the 'question' field & press Return
  4. Click on the second KB article: Pro Tools 7.4.2 Download for Mac OS X 10.5.3 & 10.5.4 Leopard
Alternatively:
  1. Go to avid.com
  2. Type "pro tools 7.4.2" (without the quotes) in the upper right search field & press Return
  3. Click "more" at the bottom of the Knowledge Base list
  4. Click "View More" next to Downloads.
  5. Click on the second KB article: Pro Tools 7.4.2 Download for Mac OS X 10.5.3 & 10.5.4 Leopard
Does this get you what you need?
