Yes, I know they frequently arrive quickly, I disagree with they 'can't' guarantee it. They 'won't' take the steps necessary to guarantee it is more accurate. Since they do frequently arrive within a few days, they're pretty close to being able to guarantee it, they'd just need to make some extra effort.

But this is a company that locks you into so-so hardware, with annoying recurring problems, a closed plugin format, extreme hardware sensitivity, an obsolete compatibility document, obsoleted still-useful hardware, and a censored forum. In light of these, I commend them for updating new purchases to the current software.

It looks like your core complaint is with the product itself and the frustrations of product design and development. I hope I don't run into the problems you encountered. Digi is probably aware that they need to continually advance, otherwise, users will simply jump to a competitor's product. And if you look at the forums of competitors, you will see that their users are not without their complaints and problems too.

My initial experience is that Digi is more responsive, gives more information and is fairer than one of their leading competitors. As a new customer, I'm simply saying that I am very satisfied and have no regrets about my purchase.

that is the right attitude to have

i believe Digidesign is behind now some but i also believe they know that now and are very very busy getting up to date

now i believe others are behind on their graphics interface as nothing it easier or more laid out like the Pro Tools software

The DUC Cafe deleted too?

Wow...

That was DUC old school.

I've had several mails from folk saying they're not going to bother hangin' round here now. I guess the new Admin will say "...and good riddance!"

And the rest of you say nothing...

Thats because MOST users are here to discuss Protools.
NOT their weekend, personal life and numerous other way off-topic posts that I have seen you post here Karel. So blame yourself, NOT digi.
