Unhappy Not enough memory - Kontakt 5

Hi guys, I'm hoping someone out there can help...?

I'm running Pro Tools 8.05 on Windows XP. it has generally been running fine (well, as fine as Pro Tools ever runs!), but lately it has been crashing regularly.

The main culprit seems to be London Solo Strings, which I purchased last February. I have attempted to run this with various versions of Kontakt player (currently using 5) and all seem to give me problems.

The session I'm running has four vocal tracks (with three plug-ins on each) and 5 instrument tracks: a BFD track, a Battery track, an Xpand track a UVI workstation track and then the strings on Kontakt 5.

It's generally running very 'sluggish' and after about 20 minutes of programming I begin to get errors, the main one being "not enough memory" - at this point there is no return, a crash is inevitable (the computer begins to freeze up and I have to force quit the program).

I'm using Moo0 resource monitor which shows nothing out of the ordinary going on, in fact it says that I have over 1GB of free memory when I have the session open, so everything looks sweet.

I've tried trashing the preferences, restarting the system etc. Everything runs OK for half an hour before the crashes begin again.

Without London Solo Strings the system appear stable. I have asked Big Fish Audio support for help, but they have no ideas. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,

Roger
